We have a New Task Today

We finally finished setting up the water tank for our neighbors. There is water available and we have witnessed it being used a couple of times already! We have also received a donation generated by one of the neighbors benefiting from it.

10:27AM - Yesterday we heard of an apartment complex that houses disabled persons. The plan today is to go visit the complex and find out how we can help. We will keep you posted on what we find out.

Today at about 1PM we were able to visit the aforementioned apartment complex. Cecilia, a lovely lady who helps manage the complex received us in her office. She was happy to report that the current Manager, whose escapes me right now, but I have to come back here to correct that, is doing a wonderful job making sure they are fully supported for the time being. Not only they manage that facility, the manage 9 others around town and they are all well taken care of. She mentioned the National Guard is routinely paying them a visit, so they are good for now.

She was kind enough to direct us towards a place called Transformation Village. Cecilia told us there is where single mothers find help with day care and many other needs they may have. A Solid and trusted organization where we can meet the beneficiaries of their services right there on the spot. Exactly the kind of interaction we are looking for.

On to the next task for the day... Spread out around town, there are these wooden "deposit" boxes people  place in front of their homes that can be filled with books or food (pictures to follow). While Steve worked on making sure our water container gets filled up so passers by can have free clean water, I went out to fill up a couple of those free markets with some food!

Please meet our printing room. A very sophisticated operation we are running here!

The image above is of bathrooms one can find spread out around town, near stores etc. Since water is an issue, establishments are providing these as an alternative to customers and employees. The are super well maintained.

On my way to stock up the free market, these are the kinds of scenes one encounters all over the place.

Tomorrow we are going to our friends place to do a load of laundry! What luxury!!
Thank you Tim and David!!
